The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The assistance level developed for intervention experiences a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this website reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
